However far behind you are

There is no point at which this becomes unfixable. We regularly pick up businesses several quarters behind, and occasionally years. It takes longer and costs more the further back it goes, which is the only real argument for starting sooner rather than later.

No lectures. Falling behind is usually a sign the business got busy, not that anyone did anything wrong.

How it works

We start from the last point the records were reliable and work forward: reconciling each period, coding transactions correctly, and identifying anything that affects an activity statement already lodged. At the end you have an accurate position and a clear picture of what, if anything, needs correcting.

What happens afterwards

A catch-up is wasted if the same backlog rebuilds. Once you are current we will set up a routine you can actually sustain — whether that is us handling it, or you handling the day-to-day with us reviewing the parts that carry risk.

Trying to maintain current books on top of an unreconciled backlog does not work, which is why this comes first.
